Question : Problem: What the heck is Orion "universal communications client" ?
It's one of the things that came with my new Acer laptop, along with Diner Dash, some encrypted virtual HD thingie, and a 60 day trial of McAfee.
OK OK I know, I was bad. I was curious and couldn't find any documentation or help files, and I'd already installed and scanned with AVG, so I figure .. what the heck, i'll disable my various NICs and run it. Still even after OK'ing the EULA I have no clue. And now it's asking me to set up a logon every time I restart.
I know how to use MSConfig and stuff, what I want to know is what earthly good is it? Is there any reason at all that I shouldn't open APPWIZ.CPL and yank the darn thing or leave it there nice and cozy.
Thanks.

It's an instant messenger, like msn etc. You probably don't need it (maybe Acer uses it to for support chats, I don't know).
