Question : Problem: Scan to PDF no longer possible in Director - How to get back?

Summary: How do we get back scanning to PDF in HP Director (all in one officejet 7210)

After installing Safeeyes parental control software on a PC we got an error from HP software that kept popping up and would not go away and is detailed here:

Best solution was to upgrade to Solution Center from HP director, however this would not work and we had to settle for.

- Find the file hpzinw12.exe and rename it hpzinw12.old

this worked and stoped the error.

During trying to resolve the problem Director was uninstalled and reinstalled under the direction of HP support. (which done no good).
Now we have got rid of the error we can no longer scan to PDF which is very frustating as the main feautre we used.

How do we get scanning to PDF back?

have been through a complete program of changes with HP support to no avail.

Went throug registry keys, ports and many other things deleted. Then downloaded the latest drivers as informed by HP,

Still had problems. Current work around it to uninstall the safe eyes software and reinstall HP again.

However, very frustrating experiance and as often has been the case very off putting to use HP printers / scannrs.
