Question : Problem: Can I recover data after running recovery disk

Greetings - I ran recovery (F10) due to my pc not booting.  Now it appears that my files are gone (I am assuming at this point that it did a format).  Is there ANY way to recover data (no I did not back up).  I thought I remembered reading that some data recovery software could recover data even after a format??

Please help.

Answer : Problem: Can I recover data after running recovery disk

These are a few good recovery apps. Just pull this drive out, and slave it to an available machine, and let the scans run... Most apps you can scan for free, and purchase the license if it is successfull. I find the Paid apps are more reliable....

For formatted volumes, I prefer Ontrack EasyRecovery the best. Great success in the past...

And accessing the recovered files, you might need to take ownership of the files to gain access....
