Question : Problem: Server 2003 r2 BIOS Boot error 0075
|
|
How do I resolve this intermittent but recurring problem?
Error is intermittent. Error says that user profile was corrupted. All settings, favorites, files disappear but upon restart they reappear.
Seems to be several things in the problem mix that are dependant variables ie. the BIOS error, the HDD that was recognized by the BIOS check and a corrupted user profile.
CPU = Intel 3.2 GHz RAM = 2GB Kingston corresponding to the MOBO HDD = 250GB WS SATA1
Does the user profile include pointers to the FAT?
I will check for BIOS update of FW but need to know how to update it to determine if that is the problem.
I do not think that the issue is with the 250GB WD SATA1.
Does the BIOS have an influence upon the user profile during the startup process?
I really don't think so as I have encountered hung files and apps almost daily.
WMS hangs almost daily as do 2 other files (perhaps DLLs).
The hanging og DLLs may permit profile corruption at Shutdown.
It seems that the corrupted user profile results at the boot immediately following there being a "COLD shutdown" and not a 'warm restart'.

I eliminated some apps from loading at startup and edited the registry based upon HiJackThis data.
