Question : Problem: Toshiba laptop hard drive has different connectors
|
|
I have a USB device that lets me plug in a normal laptop hard drive into it. It has a 44-pin female connector.
When this to another computer - it acts as an external hard drive and I can access the data.
However, I have a Toshiba laptop hard-drive and the connectors are different - 2 chips and 4 pins.
Is there a device that I can buy which fits this, or is there any other way I can access the data on there?

Sounds like your new drive has a SATA connector - you can get USB to SATA converters if you have a look around (i.e. have a search on ebay). hope this helps ;)
