Question : Problem: Multiple monitor configurations on multiple XP clients

We have three remote clients running XP.

Each wants to have a different monitor\resolution configuration.

One wants two monitors, each with 1280 x 1024.

One wants two monitors, each with 1024 x 768.

And one wants a single monitor with 1920 x 1200.

Each client can support the proposed monitor\resolution.

Can the host support three separate configurations simultaneously?

Answer : Problem: Multiple monitor configurations on multiple XP clients

The Terminal Server can host different screen configurations for each user. The screen resolution to be used is defined in the Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) tool when the session is created, on the 'Display' tab. You can set there for a session to fill the screen or fit to a specified resolution.

For users with multiple monitors, do a Start > Run > mstsc /span and then create the session. This will enable the session, in 'Full Screen' Display mode, to span their multiple monitors.
