Question : Problem: Refresh rate of remote desktop, VNC etc
Hi,
I have IP CCTV software running on a PC running Win XP Pro. I want to view all of cameras remotely as in the monitoring software. This is a little tricky as all of the cameras have different IP Addresses etc.
From talking to a number of people, We came up with the suggestion of using something like Remote Desktop to view the desktop of the PC and obviously then view all of the cameras and have the same abilities as if i were at the desktop.
What my question is is how fast will remote desktop update the picture at the remote side, Would VNC or a different software do a better job or would anybody reccomend a totally different solution????

Depends on screen resolution, number of colors and how fast the connection is between the 2 computers.
