Question : Problem: Laptop screen went dark blue with a square of colored pattern in middle
Hello Experts,
My friend was using my laptop computer and suddenly called me in because the screen went dark blue with an about 3"x3" square in the middle with a pattern of colors in it.
Moving the mouse and hitting Cntrl+Alt+Del had no effect, so I shut down manually, unplugged all UBS devices, removed the battery, counted to 10, put the battery back in, plugged in the power, crossed my fingers and rebooted.
On starting up, there was a window stating that Windows had recovered from a serious error with the following Error signature:
BCCode : 1000007e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 806EF134 BCP3 : F78EDC28
BCP4 : F78ED924 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 768_1
Error report Contents
C:\DOCUME~1\LYNNMA~1\LOCAL
S~1\Temp\W
ER3309.dir
00\Mini040
609-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\LYNNMA~1\LOCAL
S~1\Temp\W
ER3309.dir
00\sysdata
.xml
I went to open the error report contents, but there was no WER3309 file in my Temp folder as specified by the file path.
Please inform me the cause of this problem so I can fix it. If you need additional info, I'll do my best to answer.
Thank you in advance for your attention!
