Question : Problem: Can I fit an AGP Graphics Card??????
|
|
This is what it says in the manual:-
Onboard64-bit 3D AGP Graphics Accelorator.
Complies with Ver. 2.0 with built-in 8-way/16 entry set-associate GART cache for AGP master.
Shared memory architecture allows a maximum of 8 MB main memory to act as frame buffer.
I already have a Voodoo 2 PCI graphics card fitted, but I would like to fit an AGP card if possibe.
Any help apprieciated. Thanks

>Xcel 2000 chipset >The motherboard has a slot 1+ a socket-370.
These boards are elcheapo "all in wonder" boards that include an inbuilt AGP graphic adapter and sound card. Some even have an onboard modem and network card.
>Onboard64-bit 3D AGP Graphics Accelorator
quote from conchita>I have even heard of onboard AGP video AND AGP slot on the same card (someone I know claims to have bought one recently).
Not the Xcel 2000 board unfortunately:-(
This means that you won't have an AGP slot so the expansion to a different AGP is impossible.
I've found these boards only good for standard office applications as the games perfomance is disgustingly slow.
