Question : Problem: iBook Laptop - resetting date/time

I have a problem with my iBook, everytime I power it on - it has reset the date/time.

As it comes up with a pop up, "Your computer's clock is set to a date before march 24th, 2001 etc."

I'll set it to the correct time, then it'll reset when I power it on again.

Any suggestions

The CMOS battery on your laptop needs to be replaced.

To verify this, set the current date and time,power off your laptop, remove the power adapter and battery.  Wait for at least 5 minutes and then power up your laptop.  If after doing this you get the same message, the backup system battery(CMOS) is dead and needs replacing.
