Question : Problem: How do I unlock a new otb 1.1.2. Orange french iphone to use an italian TIM sim? Is there a software to buy to do that?

I've received an Orange French iphone of the 49 week (coming from the serial #). Unfortunately the iphone is an 1.1.2. ver. with 4.02.13 modem firmware version. How can I fully unlock the iphone to use an italian sim (TIM)? Is there a sw that i may buy to do the process?

There is currently no way to unlock a 1.1.2 otb phone to work with non AT&T providers through software means.  There is a $100 simcard hardware item (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) that allows other sims to mimic the AT&T one and that is reported to work but there is no way to unlock the otb 1.1.2 phones without using that card.  Sorry.
