Question : Problem: Offset QuickTime audio/video?
|
|
Hi guys,
I'm after some way of offsetting audio that's out of sync (but constantly out of sync) in a QuickTime file, without editing the video and re-aligning the audio. Is there a plug-in/alternative viewer? (or does QuickTime Pro do it? I can't see anything that obviously suggests it would). Free is preferred but not essential :-)
I'm using QuickTime 7.1.5 (standard version) on Windows XP.
Thanks in advance, Paul

I haven't heard of anything like this because there may be a number of reasons why the audio got out of sync -- especially if it has been transmitted. And the problem is that it probably doesn't have any reference to return to. Unlike that of audio and video that is locked up with timecode during acquisition or editing. I've done a bit of audio realignment in simple editors like Ulead where you just drop the clip on the timeline and 'split' the audio and video (one step) and then manually click on and drag the entire audio 'til it's in sync. A bit like the old days of lining the audio up on Steinbecks.
