Question : Problem: Is this video card adequate?

I have an HP m9060n PC with Vista Home Premium.  I have a TV connected via HDMI.  I use Media Center to watch DVDs, record TV shows, and etc.  The video card is a nvidia GeForce 8500GT.  We don't play games, do any sort of video rendering, etc.  Is that video card adequate for watching DVDs, playing back recorded TV, etc?  If not, what would you recommend as an upgrade?

Probably more than adequate.  As long as you are not gaming it'll be fine.  It's a bottom of the line Graphics Card but for what you want it's perfect.  See here for a review and comments.
