I would like to set up my Treo 700wx to ActiveSync over the air using some type of VPN connection. Can anyone help me with setting this up?

I don't think you can sync with your desktop over wireless anymore anyway since ActiveSync 4 came out so it is all a moot point.
If you go with a 3rd party hosted Exchange solution then you could sync over the air with them.
