Question : Problem: Ultra 100 TX2 Promise card problems

Recently I installed the Ultra 100 TX2 Promise card so that i can add additional hard drives etc. Today I tried to add a DVD ROm (brand new.. ). The system did not boot up and crashed during the boot phase. I tried to boot into WIndows ME as well as WIndows XP. No luck. I remove the cable from DVD rom then everything is fine. Please help. How do I make my DVD rom work.

Answer : Problem: Ultra 100 TX2 Promise card problems

You see the message about the BIOS not being installed since you don't have a hard drive connected to it.  You also have a brief pause because of this.  The ghost device may be because you didn't use the primary channel.  Switch the cable to the other connector.
Do you have the drive jumpered for Cable Select?  I believe incorrect configuration could also cause ghost devices.
