Question : Problem: Transfer Files from one computer to another

I have one computer (Windows 95, 2G hd, 16M Ram, no network card, CD Rom), it has thousands of images loaded through the years. I want to transfer all the image files to another computer (XP home, labtop, DVD/Cd w). I don't want to copy to floppy and transfer the files. What is the best methods to do this: least effort, least cost. The transfer can be one time deal or permanent.

It's a laptop if I read correctly. You won't be able to slave the drive as in the first suggestion -- unless you want to go through a major hassle.
Least effort and cost is to network the two PCs using a parallel "direct connect" cable. You could also use a null modem (serial, RS-232) cable, but for the same amount of effor, the parallel cable will be much faster! Check out the following:
