Question : Problem: Wireless network printing problem

I'm trying to print from my Macbook Pro running 10.4.11, communicating wirelessly through an iMac G5 that's connected via USB to an Epson CX7800 printer.  I'm able to select the Epson in the Macbook Pro's printer dialogue box.  When I hit return, "Epson Stylus CX7800-2" appears in my dock.  When I open it, I see the message "Unable to get printer status (client-error-forbidden)!"  Sharing is enabled on both computers.

Can you help?

Thanks,
Peter

Answer : Problem: Wireless network printing problem

But we will have to pursue this at another time, as it is 4 in the morning over where i am.

But if you can, get to where i was telling you about:
there will be a section in there probably nearer to the bottom saying:

Deny From All
Allow From @LOCAL
# Allow shared printing and remote administration...
Order allow,deny
Allow @LOCAL

if it does, that is where the problem is. that is overriding the printer sharing ability. If you remove the: "Deny From All"  line and save the file that should fix it, alternatively try resetting that file to defaults.

do this on both computers, and have a look through all the stuff in CUPS.

Talk to you soon
