Question : Problem: iPod opening folder, not being recognized by iTunes
|
|
My iPod is sporadically popping open a folder view of its contents when plugged into my computer and (when this happens) it is not registered by iTunes...I must then restart my computer to alleviate.
I think that the problem has to do with Windows XP asking you what you want to do when a USB device is plugged in (that little pop up that opens) and then giving you the option to always perform that action
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

From ITunes, with the IPod connected and selected, uncheck the option that says something like "Use the IPod as a Hard Disk" also look for something like "start ITunes when the IPod is connected" and select it Also from Task Manager, on the process tab, check that you have iPodService.exe & iTunesHelper.exe running
