Question : Problem: choose a file and print server

hi,

i need to choose a new server as file and print server, HDD is about 600G, prefer IBM( can setup RAID feature to secure my data). also i need to use backup tape to backup its data everyday. could you please advise me what kind of model to use? it has to be a tower, not puting in rack.

A simple file and print server is nothing special and practically any hardware will do that is supported by your OS. Just get a server with built-in RAID capability. If your RAID controller is SCSI, make sure you get an additional SCSI controller for the backup tape (if that is also SCSI), as tape drives should never be attached to the same controller your HD's are on.
