it sounds like it detects some kind of heat buildup and thus it freezes or maxes out the fans. try opening the pc up and blowing it out with a can of air. a few words of caution though: make sure your grounded, and have removed the power cord before blowing it out. also make sure it's in a well ventilated room. the dust can get a little overwhelming sometimes. and if you use a air compressor make sure the psi is BELOW 30. anything above it might cause damage.
i will look into specific problem with your model, so try that out until i get back to you. and let em know how you make out.
