Question : Problem: Cisco Wireless Controller will not detect the Access Points
|
|
I have a Cisco 2000 Series Wireless Lan Controller with 3 Cisco Airenet 1131AG Access Points. It work wonderfully for over a year. In December we had a power outage and ever since then my Wireless Lan Controller has been communicating with the access points. I can still web access the controller just fine but it shows 0 APs found. On the controller there is a green light (100), a green light (10), and a yellow (activity) for each access point. If the access point is plugged in the green (100) lights up, so they are being detected, but there is no activity. I have of course cycled the power many times. I have searched for the original IP and MAC address with no luck. Can someone please assist me?

Ok, but is the range correct? And if the DHCP server needs to have the ip changed, it should be done in the server side, not the WLC side. I'm assuming the WLC is set to the correct Ip for that server??
If not, you would have to set that Ip for that interface. Conf t WLC-config>interface xx WLC-config-IF> ip address Hold CTRL and hit Z wr or wr mem
This should change your iP for that interface ONLY.... Again, if its the server Ip that needs to be changed then that should be done on the server siude provided that the Address block range in the WLC is correct.
