Question : Problem: OCRs and Watermarks

Is there any way around the watermark issue with OCR? We have to scan official documents that have the watermarks in the documents. I want to capture individual lines in the documents and someone here says it's impossible.
If anyone knows an answer, please advise.

The answer is, it depends. If the originals have watermarks that are in an alternate color or a light grey, you may be able to adjust your scanner settings to minimize the visibility of the watermark during the scan process, so that the OCR software can recognize the text, but not the watermark.
