Question : Problem: Image Storage best way- NAS-RAID?

hi,

I am looking for suggestions on using a best storage option (NAS - RAID) for media/images
we have windows 2000 domain environment will need to integrate with that - I mean security wise
should be able to backup

I've had good luck with the Infrant (now Netgear) ReadyNAS NV+, or look at some of their other models. They do RAID 1 & RAID 5, integrate with AD and give a good bang for the buck. It can automatically backup to a USB hard drive you plug in for offsite backups.

Running 3 400-500 gig disks in RAID 5 will probably be the best all around and most flexible configuration.
