Question : Problem: Cowon A3 not recognized by computer all of the time
Hello,
Hi I recently purchased a Cowon A3 PMP, when I connected it into all of my laptop's usb ports it was not recognized. I tried some of the usb ports in another laptop and is was finally recognized. I took the time to upgrade the firmware and even download some movie files onto it. The minute that I properly removed the hardware from my laptop, it wasn't recognized again. Then, I tried one of the other usb ports on previous laptop and it was finally recognized. I downloaded more movies onto it and properly removed the hardware and I have the same problem with it no longer recognizing my Cowon. The operating system on both laptops is Windows vista. I also tried it on a 3rd laptop which never recognized the hardware and it has an windows XP operating system. Is there a way that I can fix this problem, or should I send it back tto the manfacturer for repair?
Answer : Problem: Cowon A3 not recognized by computer all of the time
i would send it back; but that's your choice
it looks like it has contact problems on the connector, or overdraws current.
you can verify the current by selecting it in device manager, right click it>select properties>energy settings
