Question : Problem: dual gigabit lan nic

Hello,

Our two of our servers have dual gigabit network cards in them however only one is plugged in....I haven't done much reseach on the functionality of the dual gigabit adapters...Every time I log in i notice the local area connection 2 disabled icon

I was wondering if there are any benifits or disasters if I simple took a network cable and plugged it into the second port and then plugged it into the switch.? One is running a 64 bit version of windows 2003 and the other the 32 bit version.

Answer : Problem: dual gigabit lan nic

As long as your NIC drivers are installed and support 64 bit, Broadcom Advanced Control Suite support both 32 and 64 bit. You are good to go.
