Question : Problem: How to Unlock an Unlocked Scanner??

I have a HP Scanjet 3200C. When I activate the program, I get a message box which says that the scanner carriage is locked and to unlock it. It is not locked and I can't use the scanner. Has anyone else had this problem??

Answer : Problem: How to Unlock an Unlocked Scanner??

Power down the entire system - PC and scanner.  Then engage and release the lock several times.  Then start up the PC with the scanner unlocked and let's see what it does.
