Question : Problem: Picture Scanning for my Wife

I used to have an thin cannoscan that my wife loved.  We have been on Vista for some time.  The cannoscan wasn't vista compatible and we have always had trouble using the scanner portion of an all-in-one print/scan/fax that is perfectly suited for printing vibrant color.  The scanner software for the Brother is limited and I can't even see an option for setting the folder to autoscan into, much less autocrop.  It just isn't there and isn't settable from the Windows ctrl panel either.

I used to have the cannoscan set up where all my wife had to do was press a button and her pictures would autocrop, and magically appear inside a pre-designated folder.  The scanner was as old as dirt too.  They did an exceptional job with it.

I'm not looking for anything fancy and the less expensive, the better.  If we are just talking about a scanner for photos that would make scan and autocrop a one-touch, zero click, zero effort operation, we would truely have the perfect scanner.

Any suggestions for scanners under $100?
