Question : Problem: Whole computer jams on Job Status loading. In Symantex BackUp Exec

Hello,

I just installed Symantec BackupExec 10d for windows server locally.

I am not connected to a network and am trying to perform a backup.

The tape sets itself and just before it is ready to start backing up my whole computer freezes up and the job status says loading...

I am using DLT-S4 backup drive.

Any ideas?

Please check if the DLT-S4 drive is compatible with backup exec 10d and also check for the latest drivers.

Disable RSM service. Check the drivers installed for the DLT-S4 drive by going to the device manager. check the drivers installed. Ensure that it has Veritas drivers installed.
