Question : Problem: Windows Gui Based SSH Host and/or Client. Recommendations?
|
|
I need two things, an SSH host and possibly an ssh client..
Both easy to use and gui based. I know how to do this with cygwin and other varties, but need something easy for everyone to use.
Most Needed: A SSH Host, Windows 2000,2003,xp compatible. Gui, that allows locking down of permissions and easy editing of authorized keys, etc.
Optionial: SSH Client, win2k,2k3,xp compatible. Gui, that allows easy connection to host, and possibly file copy abilities... I guess this fits exactly winscp.

freesshd is a really simple and good solution. I use it.
Another option is OpenSSH (part of Cygwin) or CopSSH (installs Cygwin and provides interface to it)
I recommend using freesshd - it is free and has a small footprint.
Putty (as stated above) is the best ssh client out there.
