Question : Problem: What SATA drives to use with HP Smart Array E200 in a DL320

I am going to start playing with ESXi for the first time and have a spare DL320 G5 I plan to use to for starters. Since I don't want to jump through hoops to get ESXi running on the onboard RAID (Intel ICH9) I just bought a PCI-e SA e200. Since the DL320 only supports 2 3.5" SATA drives, I wan wondering if anyone knows what drives I can use with the provided caddies from HP? There are 2 80GB drives now, and I had hoped to upgrade to something large for sure. Just curious if the HP caddies support any SATA disks at all, or if I am limited by something. I can't find any documentation on HPs website, so figured I would ask here. Thanks in advance for any replies.

The caddies should support any standard 3.5 inch SATA drive. The big thing is to make sure the power and SATA connectors line up correctly. 99% of drives place the connector in the standard position.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
