Question : Problem: Problem with Driver for Sun StorageTek L180
Hi there
I've got a problem setting up a StorageTek L180 on a Win2003 Server.
After installing the Driver (Downloaded from Sun, DriverPackage Version 1.1.2.2 for Win2003) the Tape Library is recognized by the Server but in the Device Manager there is still an exclamation mark saying that there is something wrong!
I tried searching for another driver, but can't find a newer one than the one already downloaded (check Picture for exact driver version from device manager).
The Library is connected to an Adaptec RAID 2230SLP 128 MB PCI-X.
The 3 Drives in the L180 are recognized perfectly(1 Seagate Ultrium3- and 2 HP Ultrium 3-Tapes), it's just this "error" that i don't know what it could be!
Hopefully someone can help me?
Thanks a lot
Regards
Marcel

Check with Adaptec support to see if this controller supports tape libraries, because I think it has been designed for disc storage only.
