Question : Problem: Unable to detect wireless network

Hi,

I have a Cisco Aironet 1100 which is working fine until recently.

Suddenly, some of the laptops in the office is unable to detect the wireless AP. The laptop models having the problem are 2 sets of Fujitsu Lifebook S7211 and 1 set HP Mininote 2133.

Other laptop are able to detect and connect to the Cisco Aironet but not the 3 mentioned laptops.

But the 3 laptops are able to detect other wireless AP in the area....

And yes, I have checked the settings for wireless  a/b/g on both the Cisco and the laptops but unable to fund anything wrong.....

Can anyone help?

Thank you

Answer : Problem: Unable to detect wireless network

What channel is the router broadcasting on?
I had some problems recently with routers that were set to channel 12.
US drivers can only connect to 1-11 American Law prohibits any channel higher than that.
Europe can go to 13, Japan till 14.

So if those laptops got an update for the wireless drivers, and they got a US version, that can explain it.
In that case, lowering the channel will help.
