Question : Problem: Error scanning with HP Scanner HP PrecisionScan

One of our user cannot scan from her scanner scanjet 5300c using HP PrecisionScan software. she get the following error: Sorry, "Cannot access your scanner. Your scanner is currently being accessed by another application. Please wait for the other application to finish or close it to allow HP PrecisionScan access".
however when I am logging as an administrator I can scan using HP precisionscan software. she can also scan using windows imaging software.

Answer : Problem: Error scanning with HP Scanner HP PrecisionScan

Uninstall the software and reinstall the software as an administrator if that does not work (assuming you are on windows xp pro) you will have to grant the user modify rights (possibly full rights) to the precisionscan software directory
