Question : Problem: How do you stop the terminal server from displaying duplicate shared printers on a network?
We run an EMR system and we have users connect via RDP to our server (Windows 2003 R2). We have 4 separate locations logging in and some locations don't have a network printer. To work around this they have the option of sharing the printer onto the server so they can print documents. We are finding that multiple workstations are sharing the same printer so when they log on, we get anywhere from 3-5 of the same printers. Our doctors sometimes print to different areas but are get annoyed at sorting through the same duplicate printers to find the one they need. Any solutions?

normally, the software will take the default one from local PC, so if you connected via that way, it should works fine
