Question : Problem: Can iPod touch play games?

I was about to trade up from my 4GB Nano to a 16GB Touch, but I like the games feature, its a good time killer when waiting for meetings, etc.  Does the iPod Touch come with any games?  Does anyone make any downloadable games for the Touch or do all the available games have to be played while online using Safari?
