Question : Problem: My laptop does nothing when I switch it on
Hi
When I shut down my laptop last night it was fine. This morning I have nothing. The fan starts up and he power light is on but there is nothing on the screen and no sign of hard disk activity. I personally have not experienced such a complete failure before without some sort of warning. I just wondered what the most likely cause would be? Could it be just a hard drive failure or is it likely to be a multitude of problems?
Do you think there is any way I can retrieve the data on my hard drive? All suggestions gratefully received.
Mathew
Answer : Problem: My laptop does nothing when I switch it on
Remove the Battery and Power adapter. Hold the power button for 45 secs. the release it. Now connect the power adapter and check, if it doesn't then remove the adapter and connect the battery and have a check. Also try removing the CD Drive.
