Question : Problem: Installing a 802.11b driver
|
|
I have a laptop that I have lost the disk with the drivers on and am reinstalling. I am trying to find a PRISM 2.5 802.11b driver for the laptop and cant find it. Can anyone please tell me where to find this driver. I tried DriverGuide and cant find the driver. The company that makes the laptop went out of business so I cant check there website. It is an internal wireless lan card. Please help. Thanks, Greg

... for example, here's an 802.11g adapter for $12 (after rebate). I have one of these for my wife's laptop -- works just fine. Does occassionally require a USB unplug/plug back in to force a connection, but is generally very reliable. I bought it on a lark just to have an extra adapter (at the time it was under $10 -- who can complain for a "g" adapter at this price).

Prefer a "name brand" -- and willing to stick with "b" ?? I also have one of these. Works fine, but I replaced it with the above, cheaper one :)

Finally, here's a bunch of PC-card adapters for as little as $3.00 !!
