Question : Problem: Scanning 2x2 Slides into a digital format.  Need a Scanner..

Looking for a testimonial on a low cost flatbed scanner to scan hundreds of old 2x2 slides to construct a DVD Slide show.  I have my eye on an Epson Perfection V350 Photo.  Info. available at www.epson.com/store.  It's unclear as to what file form the scans will be produuced.  *.jpg or what.  I presume there would be the ability to scan documents as well and the ability to just do a copy.   Is the CCD technology for the line sensor the best of the bunch in this price range.

Nope, those are both models from about a year ago. The V100 and V350 are the current "consumer" models.
