Question : Problem: Driver search utility?

Hi.
I recently nuked my OS and wondered..  Is there a better way of getting the latest set of drivers for my machine?
Is there a program out there which can scan your computer; and pose to you:
You have the following hardware, and here are the links to the latest drivers for it.

I want some good discussion/ideas, so equivilant to the amount of time this could save me; i'll post it as 500.

OS is windows 2000.
