Question : Problem: Backup/Restore Sysprep image
I've got a master machine that I have run sysprep on and would like to image to DVD so that I can use the same setup in a training environment. I've heard other users talk about Ghost and in reading the Symantec online documentation I'm still unclear if this is what I need to accomplish the above task. Is is accomplished via booting from an external device to create the DVD ISO? I was hoping that the ISO would contain some sort of ghost recovery program that would ask where to restore to and then do it.
I apologize for the many questions here...I'd just like to understand the complete process before making a purchase that I may or may not need.
Thanks!
Answer : Problem: Backup/Restore Sysprep image
Download an Eval of Ghost solution suite so that you can test it.
Normally you can create a Ghost Bootable CD that will allow you to restore to another machine.
Depends on the Ghost version involved.
I hope this helps !
