Question : Problem: wireless usb sick.

hi,

i bought a wireless802.11g/b usb stick from ebay and it arrived with the cd cracked so i cant use it.
is their a generic driver for xp that i can download online for this?

You may have to register or vierw some ads to get the file but its what your looking for.....

You'll need latest version of WinZip or winRAR to uncompress the file.

Extract all files (all of them!) onto a folder, since they are originally taken out from the manufacturer CD and they are not available anywhere (anywhere!) on the web. Manufacturer is some japaneese or chineese company... dont know...! just unfindable in the web.

Ok...

Plug the USB Dongle on to USB port (no need to be 2.0, 1.1 will do but will work slower on WIFI LAN). when windows launches the driver installation wizard, cancel it (this is extreemly important, because otherwise it wont work!)

After that, find the folder where files were extracted, launch the setup application and follow instructions.

This info is also findable in the PDF contained in the RAR file.
