Question : Problem: combining DDR RAMs from different vendors..  ?

My computer is with

DDR samsung 128 MBytes

I want to extend it to 256

However I have found DDR RAMs from different  vendors... like PH ..etc

May any body recommend me in terms of

1- compatibility with DDR samsung

2-compatibility with the frequency

 (ddr 333 with ddr 266 )

any help will be appreciated..!

Mixing vendors is ok, unless you are going for top performance and using a dual-channel configuration.  Mixing speeds will work most of the time, but there are some motherboards that won't like it, so if you have a choice, use the same speed.  There's no point in introducing more possibilities for problems.
