Question : Problem: Canon D1250U2 - turn off/speed up "adjusting lamp"

Hi,

I've got this new D1250U2, working nicely on my Win XP Home machine on a USB1.1 port.

Only prob is it's very slow - takes 30 secs to 1 minute to "adjust lamp" between each scan (I'm pretty sure it's not the fact I'm on USB1.1 with a USB2.0 device).

I read in a magazine review of the scanner (wish I'd read it before I bought it, but) that it can be set up to only "adjust lamp" once per session instead of between each scan.

Anyone know how this can be done?
