Question : Problem: Corrupted iPod?

I am receiving the following error when I try to sync my iPod.
"iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.  You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod"

I already tried resetting and restoring my iPod. I don't know what to do!

What happens now is you take your iPod to an official iPod repairer who charges you $50 to tell you it's unserviceable.
