Question : Problem: PC only boots to BIOS since now

Hi

I have a customer with a Video store whos pc has just failed.  It was working and then one of the staff kicked it (accidently) and the pc went off (screen went off)  When you power up the pc boots staight into the BIOS.  The BIOS finds the hard drive and also the CD but when you reboot again it goes in to the BIOS.  Memory is ok,  I can heat the hard drive which sounds normal.

I have reset the BIOS defaults but not sure what esle to do, I think OS is XP (not sure as new customer)

I am putting high points on this as I need to fix tonight for opening tomorrow, any help is appreciated

Thanks

Well your in a loop, which does mean you have a problem, right this really is going to be trial and erro.  Take out the CD and Drive put in another drive and see what happens.
Put in another drive see what happens, if new drive works then yo have a drive problem of some sort.
Try putting you the offending drive into the secondary slot (I'm assuming you have IDE here)
It sounds like you have changed the boot order but make sure the hard drive is first in the list, if not then see if you can boot from a floppy. After you've done all that get back to me..
