Question : Problem: Max laptop screen resolution?

I have a laptop that has a graphics chip that's capable of supporting resolutions up to 2048 x 1536.  The screen that comes with the laptop is a 15.4" standard screen with a max supported resolution of 1024 x 768.

Is 1024 x 768 the max resolution a 15.4" screen can do and if i was to achieve the kind of resolutions that the graphics chip can support i would need a bigger screen? or are there 15.4" screen to support these resolutions?

Depends on make and model, drivers, video card...they can go higher, but as stated previously, what would be the point if you can't see the text without glasses.
