Question : Problem: computer slow to wake up

one of our users has a Dell Optiplex 745 (so not too old of a PC) and lately when she comes in each morning, it takes forever to "wake up" - she reboots each night and when she arrives in the morning she moves the mouse, but nothing happens for several minutes (up to 20 or 30 minutes) - hibernation and standby are turned off - I don't see any errors in the Event Viewer - looking for suggestions on what else to check
She has a Dell LCD monitor, model 1704FPTt.

Answer : Problem: computer slow to wake up

I think we found the problem... the monitor is starting to fail.  The user tried an old monitor that she found in storage in her department and the problem has vanished.  Prior to that, she waited 45 minutes for her monitor to "wake up" today - ugh, that poor woman!
