Question : Problem: Smartphone monthly calendar with icons?

I have a palm based smartphone but am interested in the blackberry and iPhone systems. My palm system has a calendar which uses an aftermarket program called Datebk6. The latter allows one to insert icons instead of bars to indicate dates and for my particular schedule (which has 6 different possible shifts that I work) it is invaluable. Is there any software available that allows the same thing on the Blackberry? or perhaps the iPhone?
