Question : Problem: SMTP Traffic

SMTP Traffic to Exchange: I can send Mail inside the network just fine by useing Topmail. But I cannot  get SMTP traffic form the outside to my mail server! I have a rule in the firewall coming form gateway to AV Server. In the router I have a config of ...

Access-list 101 permit tcp any host 216.81.134.105 eq SMTP

Should this point to my inside AV server?

We currently use webmail and are wanting to get Exchange server going.....

Answer : Problem: SMTP Traffic

On the other hand, if your symantec mail server can handle outbound mail as well, then you can just configure your Exchange server to forward all outbound mail to the symantec server and you won't need the 2nd NAT entry. If your fiewall is inbetween yor 2 mail servers you would need to make sure that your 2 mail servers can talk to each other, and that the Symantec server can talk to the outside world
