Question : Problem: Capturing information passing to printer

Wanted to find out if there was a way to capture information from a windows software to the printer.  Im having problems with the software not printing to the proper drawer's... not sure if its the printer or the software's problem.

Most Windows printer drivers have a 'print to file' option in the driver Properties dialogue.

The resultant .PRN print file contains all of the data and control sequences which would have been sent to the printer.
The format of the captured print stream  is obviously dependent on the Page Description Language (PDL) used by the driver (usually one of PCL5e, PCL XL or PostScript).
